Tennessee Commitment Talks Other Visits
"The camp was a lot of fun," Austin Johnson said. "It was different, but a lot of fun. I was impressed with the players who were there. There were some really quick guys there." "I met an outside linebacker with dreadlocks [Jerrell Harris] who was really good. I talked to him for a while. I talked to a linebacker [Daniel Franklin] who is going to Oklahoma. He was a real nice guy." The 6-foot-3, 240-pound prospect is working hard preparing for his senior season and will soon take a visit to Knoxville. "Right now I have been getting after it. I have been running, lifting weights and doing a lot of sprints. I am going up to Tennessee's camp next week," he said. "I am just going to visit Tennessee right now. I am interested in South Carolina and Alabama as well. I have a buddy who goes to South Carolina, and I may go up there for a visit." "I like the coaches at South Carolina. I have two different recruiters. I like coach Steve Spurrier's coaching. They have said some things like I would be playing early. They seem like they really want me. I want to go somewhere they want me, which Tennessee does. Right now I am pretty solid to them." "The thing I like about Alabama is their fans are getting crazier about it. I like coach [Nick] Saban coming in there. I like how they run their defense. They put big linebackers in the middle who will stuff the hole. Alabama likes size and players who are quick to fill the holes." Johnson remains solid to the Volunteers, and Scout.com will keep you posted of any additional visits from the Tennessee commitment.
