Wilson Works Out At LSU
How was his experience down on the bayou? "I thought it went real well," said Greenwood (Ark.) product Tyler Wilson. "It was great working with coach Gray) Crowton (offensive coordinator) and I got to see how he coaches and to learn his style. We got along real well and worked good together." Prior to his trip to Baton Rouge, the 6-3, 185-pounder had been to Arkansas, Alabama, Missouri, Kansas and Tulsa. After seeing the facilities at all of those schools, Wilson had a good barometer for judging what LSU has to offer. "LSU is top-notch and there is no way around that," he said. "LSU is definitely one of, if not, the top program in the nation. Their stadium was amazing and I can only imagine how it is with 92 or 93,000 people in it. Their academic center was gorgeous and state of the art. They definitely have academics first over there and to tell you the truth every level of the program over there is top-notch." Wilson said that before he left to head back to the Natural State he met with head coach Les Miles. "We talked to him right after camp and he had some good things to say," explained Wilson. "We didn't talk much about committing because I think he knows I want to get everything organized with my family and that my timeframe of making a decision is towards the end of summer." One thing that Wilson has tried to stay focused on throughout the recruiting process was to stay even keel and after this trip he is still sticking to the plan. "I've been pretty wide open and taking into consideration all of the places I've been and I want to keep it that way," he said. "I'd like to see some more places and meet some more coaching staffs before I make my decision."
