Alonso Agwuenu, the 6-foot-3, 186-pound wide receiver is finishing up transferring from Ayala High School in Chino (Calif.) to Chino Hills High for his senior season. "I'm going through the transfer now," Agwuenu said. "I haven't really been able to practice this spring, so not many schools have seen me in person."
Agwuenu already has offers from San Diego State, Ole Miss, Oregon and Colorado and he says the Ducks are still his favorites. Oregon leads solidly over Arizona, Colorado, California and UCLA.
"I like the offense at Oregon," he said. "They pass a lot. They have a great passing ratio and it's a great place for a wide receiver. I've spoken with coach Mike Bellotti and I still get texts from him and the other coaches. They seem to like me a lot."
He is planning on attending the Oregon summer camp and he'll also be heading east to the Mississippi camp in July. "I'm gonna try to go to Arizona and Cal this summer too," he said. "They've all asked for my highlight tape and said they really want to see me in person.
"I like Arizona because they are a passing team too and are still very young," Agwuenu said. "They have great coaches and I think they'll be a top Pac-10 team. I love the Pac-10."
He reports a 2.9 core GPA and a 1450 SAT. "I want to major in business."
