With 26 scholarship offers in hand, East Cleveland (Ohio) Shaw defensive end Reggie Smith will certainly have options when choosing the college he'll sign with in February. While most players typically begin to narrow down their choices of favorites schools when the fall rolls around, the 6-2, 230 pound Smith is still adding schools to his list.

"Maryland, Virginia, Michigan State, Ohio State, Iowa, Boston College, Missouri, Bowling Green, and Cincinnati are schools I'm looking at," Smith told Student Sports correspondent Mike Schmidt.

Last week Smith made an unofficial visit to Maryland to see the Terrapins take on Florida State. "It was real nice. I liked the atmosphere and I like their defense," he said.

Smith has one official visit set with Virginia for December 6th. "And I'll probably make official visits to Maryland, Boston College and Missouri," Smith said.

At the Nike Camp in Michigan, Smith was named one of the top three defensive linemen after standing out in drills and running a 4.79 in the 40. He has a 2.5 core GPA and is retaking the ACT this October after scoring a 16 on his first try.
