Dylan Troutman, a 5-Foot-11, 198-pound linebacker from Union High in Tulsa, Okla., is a fierce middle linebacker that plays all over the field. This summer recruiting has really started to pick up for Troutman.
“Things have been picking up a lot,” Troutman explained. “I am actually going to a camp at Kansas tomorrow morning.
Going into this camp Troutman explained what his goals are. “Kind of, seeing how they are feeling me, I guess and kind of feeling out the program and what not,” Troutman said of his upcoming trip.
Troutman currently list his top five as KU, Princeton, Tulsa, Oklahoma State and Eastern Michigan with Kansas being his favorite. He reports no official offers at this time, but Princeton is currently recruiting Troutman the hardest.
Union High School had a roller coaster season last year. As a new head coach steps into this season, Troutman explains what he expects.
“They are kind of almost exactly like the 2005 season and it’s like its back to the basics,” Troutman said of the new staff.
“The new coaching staff is amazing now. I am just excited about getting to work.”
You can tell that Troutman is happy with the new staff.
“I think basically for me having a head coach that’s from a defensive mind frame, you get a lot of the attention in practice among other things,” Troutman informed.
No matter where Troutman ends up you can bet he will be flying around the field. Just like, he does on Friday nights for the Union Redskins.
