#1 Prospects headed to US Army Bowl

Wharton, NJ (June 22, 2007) – Two Scout.com's No 1. rated football prospects, quarterback Terrelle Pryor (Jeanette, PA) and running back Darrell Scott (Ventura, CA) have accepted invitations to the eighth annual U.S. Army All-American Bowl on January 8, 2008 in San Antonio, TX.

Quarterback Terrelle Pryor and running back Darrell Scott are the first two players to accept invitations. Both players are ranked the No. 1 prospect in the country at their respective positions by Scout.com.

"The U.S. Army All-American Bowl has commitments from 67 of the top 75 players in the 2008 class from across the country and will have more additions in the next two weeks,” said SportsLink President Rich McGuinness. SportsLink is the owner and producer of the U.S. Army All-American Bowl.

Terrelle Pryor is ranked the No. 1 quarterback in the country by Scout.com and the No. 2 prospect regardless of position on Scout.com's National Hot 100.  The two-sport star in football and basketball has offers from every major division one college football program in the country and will likely make a decision between Florida, Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Penn State, Texas, and West Virginia.

the No. 4 prospect in the country regardless of position on the Hot 100 after rushing for over 3,000 yards his junior year. Like Pryor, Scott has yet to make a college decision, but lists Cal, Florida, Florida State, Michigan, Penn State, USC, and UCLA among his favorites. 

“We are excited about this year’s U.S. Army All-American Bowl class. We are confident they will follow in the footsteps and tradition of U.S. Army Alumni Reggie Bush, Vince Young, Adrian Peterson and Chris Leak,” said McGuinness.

The U.S. Army All-American Bowl is one of the nation’s most predominant high school football sporting events.  Created by SportsLink, the U.S. Army All-American Bowl features the nation’s top 84 prep football players across the nation in a classic East versus West showdown.
