Bakersfield (Calif.) Liberty defensive end Matt Akers (6-3, 245), was an all-state underclass and all-section performer during his 2006 junior season, as well as a First Team all-League pick. Akers recorded 117 tackles and 15 sacks and had a sack in 12 of 13 games. The owner of three offers, from Colorado State, Fresno State and San Diego State, here are clips of Akers in action during the 2006 season.
