James Hanna admittedly grew up an Oklahoma fan, so it did not take him long to make a verbal commitment after receiving a scholarship offer from the Sooners. Despite the fact there have been some sanctions levied against the program, Hanna is still a solid commitment. Scout.com caught up with Hanna in an exclusive video interview to get his perspective on the program.

James Hanna, a 6-foot-5, 220-pound tight end from Flower Mound High in Texas issued a verbal commitment to Oklahoma shortly following a session of summer camp.

Hanna took the time to discuss with Scout.com the reasoning behind his decision to become a Sooner, some friendships that have sparked with some of the other 2008 recruits, and his feelings on the news that there are going to be some sanctions levied against the program.

As a junior, Hanna reports he racked up around 20 catches for 350 yards and two touchdowns to earn second team All-District honors.
