Second Offer for Jones

Atco, N.J., offensive standout Brandon Jones recently added his second written scholarship offer from Temple after receiving one earlier from Eastern Michigan, a school that has given plenty of attention to Winslow Township players this recruiting season. Others are interested in Jones right now, but his senior season will play a large role in who actually offers.
After transferring to Winslow Township High School from St. Augustine Prep last season, 6-foot, 175-pound wide receiver
Brandon Jones
was only able to play in five games, but made the most of his opportunities catching 30 passes to the tune of 600 yards and three touchdowns for the Eagles.
Eastern Michigan
and
Temple
have already offered Jones and more could be on the way if he impresses his senior season while adding to a slender frame.
“Right now I have been getting the most mail from
Virginia
, but I also hear a lot from
Cincinnati
,
Connecticut
,
Rutgers
,
Boston College
and Lafayette,” Jones said. “Temple offered me recently and I spoke to Coach (Charley) Molnar from Cincinnati who wants me to get up on their campus and check things out. He seemed very interested in me and came off as a pretty cool guy, so when I get a chance to go up there I am going to try and check things out.”
“Temple offered me after camping there and let me tell you, that was one rough camp and we did a ton of running there,” Jones stated. “I pulled my quadriceps during a drill, but played through it and got positive feedback from a few of the different coaches that were running the drills. I liked the campus a lot and was surprised that it had a real college feel to it being in the middle of such a big city and all. The facilities there were really nice and I was real impressed with the computer lab and movie theatre they just put in. I have been over to Lincoln Financial Field where they play their games and to tell you the truth, I think them playing there takes away from the college atmosphere a lot, however that isn’t a big deal to me when considering them.”
“Coach (Michael) McBride has been talking to
Tyrone McBride
,
Reuben Johnson
and me about taking a trip up to Connecticut together soon,” Jones explained. “I like them because they are in a competitive conference in the Big East and I got to see them on television a good amount this year. They are an up and coming program that has a heavy focus on academics within their program and right now they’re probably sending me three or four letters a week. I know they just got Zach Frazer from
Notre Dame
which tells me they will really be looking to throw the ball a lot in the future, so that is an obvious draw for me.”
Jones is also going to try and visit Lafayette who has been heavily recruiting him as of late and has set no timeframe for a decision at this point.
