Catching up with Isaac Remington
At 6-6 260 pounds Isaac Remington certainly looks the part. A two-time all state selection showed he was more then just looks. Several schools made it out to 2A Valley Christian to recruit Remington including Boise State and Oregon, in fact the Ducks offered early in the recruiting process but the offer fell through. Concerns over Isaac qualifing may have scared away them and other suitors. Remington ended up at Phoenix College and even ended up qualifying late meaning he may leave PC after one season or semester. PC head coach Dale Wolfley thinks this will end up being the case. Scout.com caught up with Remington to see how things were going at PC. Scout.com: How are you training to get ready for camp? Remington: "Lifting four days a week and practicing two days a week for two hours." When do you report? "I report for practice on August 1st for two a days." Have you already started working out with your team? "Yes I have. I had the chance to play spring ball in full pads and the spring ball game. I am also lifting over the summer and practicing." What is the biggest difference in the game? "I would say the biggest difference is that everybody is big and everybody is fast. The speed of the game changes, that's about the biggest difference." Do you think you will red-shirt? "No I will not red-shirt or gray-shirt. I started in the spring and as long as I keep up the work I should start in the fall." Are you nervous for camp? "No I am not nervous for camp." What advice would you give to this year's seniors in regards to recruiting? "Make the most of it but don't get all caught up in it that, you don't enjoy the season. There is nothing like high school football." Check back with Scout.com for recruiting info on Remington. Many college coaches are paying close watch on him and he is an attractive junior college recruit being that he can be a midyear transfer.
