Quincy Quetant Profile
"I just got a new scholarship offer from Vanderbilt," said Quincy. "They offered me about a week ago. They are in my top three now. I don't know a lot about them yet, but I am going to be doing my research to see how they stand. I know it's a really good school."
Quetant named Cinicinnati and Mississippi State as his leaders a few weeks back. Since that time it appears that the Bearcats and Bulldogs have taken two very different approaches.
"Cincinnati is putting some pressure on me," said Quentant. "They have had four defensive backs commit. I really like the school a lot, but I can't say I want to go there until I get a chance to go visit there. It's going to be pretty tough to do until I can take an official visit up there. We're going to try to set something up for one of my bye weeks."
"I haven't heard a lot from Mississippi State in a while," said Quincy. "I got a text message from them a few weeks ago, but I just haven't heard much lately."
Quetant at one time was pretty much set on a post season decision, but the stance appears to have softened some.
"If I take a visit and if I know it's where I want to go I will commit on the spot," said Quincy. "I am not going to say I am going to to take all my visits, but there is a good chance I will."
While recruiting is a big part of Quincy's focus, it is certainly not the only part. The talented defensive back is about to take care of some Timber Creek High business.
"I am working hard," said Quetant. "My whole team has been working out every morning at 8:30. We're working on lifting and conditioning. We're all just trying to get better."
Quetant is optimisitic about his team's chances this year.
"I think we're going to be alright," said Quincy. "We're known as a running team and he have three good running backs this season. We like to do it by it committee. We're pretty good at stopping the run too. We're not the biggest team, but we're real physical."
Knowing this is his final prep campaign, Quincy knows a lot of the guidance must come from he and his fellow seniors.
"This year I am trying to be more of a leader," said Quetant. "I know I have to go out there and make plays on offense, defense and special teams. I am just looking to make plays anyway I can to help my team win."
