Green Wave Adds Commitment

Green Wave Adds Commitment

Tulane added its fourth commitment for the 2008 class as Iowa (La.) athlete Ian Harson committed to the Green Wave.

Ian Harson, a 6-foot, 175-pounder with 4.6 speed, will be a three-year starter on the prep level moonlighting at free safety and wide receiver.

When he gets to Tulane, though, he will focus solely on the defensive side of the ball.

"They want me to play free safety because they like how aggressive I am and that I never give up on a play," Harson told Scout.com. "They said they think I can help out in run support and that I can cover a lot of ground in the backfield."

Tulane was the first school to contact Harson and that meant a lot to the versatile player.

"They were actually the first school to really talk to me and that gave me a lot of confidence in the coaches," explained Harson. "That showed that they had confidence in me as a player and how much they thought of me."
