SOMERSET, N.J. -- The Next Level Athletics X-treme X-posure camp was a rousing success and Scout.com was on hand for all the action. Here are our notes from Day Two of the three day camp.

Day two of the Next Level Athletics X-treme X-posure Football Camp was as good as the first. The day featured two separate three hour practice sessions. The sessions included skills work, one-on-ones and a seven-on-seven.

Here are are notes broken down by position.

Quarterback Cardinal O'Hara's Tom Savage proved to be the best of a thin group of signal callers. The class of 2009 prospect showed great poise and mechanics for a young player. He reminds us a lot of the top quarterback in Pennsylvania last year, Pat Bostick. Savage like Bostick has great touch on the deep ball.

Cresskill, N.J., quarterback Kyle Elliott looked a lot better thn he did in January when we first saw him at the U.S. Army All-American Combine. His skill set has improved dramatically. Elliott had good velocity and really showed the ability to thread the needle.

Running Back Class of 2009 prospect Malek Redd from River Hill, Md., showed that not only does he do well in a combine setting, but he can play the game. Redd was like trying to catch a water bug in a creek. He dipped and dodged his way around defenders all day long.

Rutgers commit Rashad White had a few memorable plays during 7-on-7 when he put on a display of moves that were video game worthy. Archbishop Stepinac's Rashaad Slowley also had an impressive day. The chiseled New York back showed that he has outstanding hands and he can be elusive in the open field.

Hornell, N.Y., running back David Zapata continues to look like the best player on the East Coast without a scholarship offer.

Wide Receiver It doesn't matter which side of the ball that New Brunswick's Brandon Smith is on he excels. Smith played safety and wide receiver and was lights out at both.

Je'ron Stokes another outstanding class of 2009 prospect from Pennsylvania was outstanding. He could be a top ten player in the state. Stokes also informed us that he is transferring from Penn Charter and is enrolling at Northeast.

DeJuan Miller of Metuchen and an Oklahoma commit is a mismatch for almost any defensive back. Once Miller realizes how big and strong he is, look out.

Pittsburgh, Pa., wide receiver Ed Tinker continues to look more polished with each rep. The Brashear prospect suffered a minor thumb injury, but fought through it.

Offensive Line: Delbarton (N.J.) Holy Cross prospect Frank Allen is a manchild. He is under-the-radar right now, but we’re suspecting that will change very soon. He was easily the strongest prospect at the camp.

Immaculata 2009 prospect Mark Brazinski was as advertised and has a great personality to boot. Brazinski has great feet and can really move. Like most young linemen he needs to work on his strength and not letting guys get inside of him. As a pure center, he is a good one.

Defensive Line: Reggie Ellis of Dunbar High in Washington, D.C., continued to look like a man possessed. As usual he dominated the competition.

Leston Simpson is a class of 2009 prospect from Campus Magnet in Queens, N.Y., looks like he chiseled out of stone at 6-3 and 210 pounds he has some growing to do, but his frame can take it.

Linebacker: Class of 2009 prospect Nick Sizemore from Manheim Township in Lancaster, Pa., got to showcase his cover skills and he acclimated himself well. He is used to being more of a run stopping backer in the Blue Streaks scheme.

Muhlenburg, Pa., linebacker Jeremy Rodriguez who surfaced at our combine in Randolph, N.J., also had a great showing at the X-treme X-posure camp. The New Orleans transplant is slightly undersized, but he continuously flies around and makes plays.

One player who I watched a lot and became very intrigued with is Quinten White from Cardinal Dougherty in Philadelphia, Pa. He tested off the charts and backed it up with a tremendous showing on the field. White is a very good athlete with long arms. He plays very intelligently and is never out of position.

Asim Hicks who will be a post graduate player at Bridgton Academy in Connecticut. Hicks will talk the talk and walk the walk.

Everyone talks about Malek Redd and Michael Campanaro at River Hill, but Leron Eaddy can more than handle his own. he'll be one to watch in next years class.

Defensive Backs:The Peddie School has put out some players in the past, but Matthew Brown is on another level. He is only 5-6/175, but when you lock down everyone including DeJuan Miller and Brandon Smith you will get my attention. Brown is having the best camp of any player here right now.

When Brandon Smith is not catching or throwing passes, the New Brunswick, N.J. star is one heck of a safety. He is the kind of kid who is a vocal leader on a team and makes everyone around him better.

Brashear safety Jermaine Robinson had his best performance of the year. He reminds us a lot of John Maddox a former Philadelphia star who went to West Virginia and is now transferring to Central Michigan. Robinson is rail thin, but the kid can ball.

Dwayne Gratz is a standout cornerback who committed to Connecticut and we can see why everyone in Piscataway is unhappy about it. Gratz is a very cerebral corner who is always in position to make a play. He is deceptively quick and covers a lot of ground.

Syracuse pledge Grant Mayes from Seton Hall Prep is another standout corner from New Jersey. Mayes is a little thin and needs to fill out, but he can play. The Orange are getting a good one.

Immaculata's Theo Riddick is one of the best that New Jersey has to offer in the class of 2009. He most well know for his exploits as a running back, well some may want him as a defensive back and he showed at the camp that he is more than capable.

Cardinal O'Hara athlete Steve Werner is another propsect that we have talked about before who had a strong showing.
