Auburn, Ala.--A big question going into the 2007 season is who will be the starting right offensive…
Update on Freshman DE
Adewale Ojomo is still waiting on Clearinghouse issues to get cleared up before he can officially report with the team. Randy Shannon addressed the situation today. "Right now there's one freshman (Ojomo) going through everything with the Clearinghouse," Shannon said. "He's got everything that he wants to get done. He's been following up on everything. It's just up to the Clearinghouse to get him eligible." Ojomo has told CanesTime that he believes everything will get taken care of before the start of the season. Shannon seems to feel the same way. "We feel like at any day now he could pass through," he said, "whether it's five minutes from now, ten minutes from now, next week, or two days." Ojomo and Shawnbrey McNeal were the only two players in this year's recruiting class who didn't report for summer school in June. McNeal made it in. "Every other freshman has made it," Shannon said. Ojomo, 6-foot-4 and 240 pounds, is a pass-rushing specialist from Hialeah High who had seven sacks as a senior this past season. With his ability to come off the edge and get after the quarterback, Ojomo was likely going to have a good opportunity to play early. CanesTime will continue to monitor the situation.
