Dewitt Stuckey will be visiting the Ducks on September 29 for the California game. "Oregon is my top choice because they were the first ones to offer me and have been after me the hardest the whole time," Stuckey said. "I like coach Mike Bellotti a lot and how we don't just talk about football. Most schools only want to talk football..."

Dewitt Stuckey, the 6-foot, 215-pound four-star linebacker from Lincoln High School in Stockton , Calif., has 16 scholarship offers and continues to say that Oregon is his favorite.

"I really like the coaches," said Scout.com's No. 12 weakside 'backer. "I talk with them regularly and they send me tons of mail. They send me handwritten letters and formations of their defense with my name on it. They basically keep me updated on everything that's going on there."

Stuckey will be visiting the Ducks on September 22 for the California game. "Oregon is my top choice because they were the first ones to offer me and have been after me the hardest the whole time. I like coach Mike Bellotti a lot and how we don't just talk about football. Most schools only want to talk football, but with them they seem to want to get to know me as a person. Football is just one part of that."

The Ducks lead solidly over California, Arizona, Georgia Tech and Washington. All of Stuckey's favorites have offered and he's visiting the Yellow Jackets on September 15 for the Boston College game.

"I'll probably make my decision early in the season," Stuckey said. "It'll probably be after a few visits. I think I'll take my Oregon trip and see how it goes and maybe decide after that."

Stuckey says that Cal and Arizona have also been coming on strong as of late. "They both came after me a little later, but have been recruiting me hard recently," he said. "Especially Cal. Before the texting ban, they were messaging me every day.

"Washington is still recruiting a lot too. I know they haven't been winning a lot, but they are still young and I think I'd be able to go there and compete for a position right away. I like coach Ty Willingham a lot and am friends with (running back) Curtis Shaw already."

He reports a 3.0 core GPA and a 840 SAT.
