Shannon High School's Arceto Clark, a Mississippi State commitment, is showcased in this ScoutTV…
Clark Dreaming Big
Arceto Clark Profile "Things are going good with practice," said Arceto. "My biggest goal this year is to win the state title." When asked which teams could possibly stand in Shannon's way to the state crown, Clark became a bit philosophical. "It's really just our team," said the talented two-way standout. "We stand in our own way. If we can all pull together we can be very successful." The Raiders had to pull together last year when star quarterback Michael Ledbetter went down to a knee injury after just four games. "He is looking pretty good," said Arceto. "He has fully recovered from his injury. I think things are going to go really good with him this year." The Shannon High offense was fairly potent in Ledbetter's absence, but in his abbreviated 2006 season Michael threw for just under 1,200 yards and 17 touchdowns. "It makes me more confident with him back at quarterback," said Arceto. "We know each other so well, so that helps." Clark committed to Mississippi State just over a month ago. His recent commitment coupled with the NCAA ban on text messaging has resulted in a much more peaceful situation. "I don't talk to them too often right now," said Clark. "I just take things a day at a time. Mississippi State is the main school I hear from now." Arceto chose the Bulldogs over offers from Clemson and Ole Miss and his family supported his decision. "My family always told me that I needed to make the decision that was best for me," said Arceto. "My cousin (former Mississippi State player Lewis Clark) called me the day I committed and he was real excited. He said he was real happy for me."
