KSU Commitment: Logan Dold
"Football practice has been going pretty good," Logan Dold said. "We had our last two-a-day practice yesterday, and we start school tomorrow." "We are retuning a lot of players including four lineman. We have eight returning starters on both sides of the ball. I am going to play running back, free safety and some quarterback when we are in shotgun." When asked the expectations for his senior season Dold replied, "Probably the same thing we expect every year. That is to win the state championship." "I haven't been up there in a long time, but I think we are going up there this weekend for a visit," Dold said of Mnhattan. "The last I was up there was during basketball season." "I still talk to the coaches. I talk to them a few times a week. I usually speak to coach [James] Franklin. If it's not him it's coach [Greg] Burns. I have the strongest relationship with coach Franklin because he is the one who contacted me in the beginning." Dold's had a successfil off-season and knows the position expected when he arrives on campus in 2008. "They recruited me as a defensive back. They said it could always change. I am 6-foot-1, 205-pounds. I have mostly been working on my strength and agility," he said. When asked of other visits Dold said, "If I get the opportunity to visit other schools I might. Kansas State is the only offer I have. If it's not for an official visit I won't visit anywhere." "I committed to Kansas State pretty much because I liked it better than the other visits I took. It was a good experience. The coaching staff help make my decision easy." Dold plans to attend all of Kansas State's home games.
