Uniontown, Pa., native Kaleb Ramsey held several scholarship offers, but in the end chose to give his verbal pledge to Boston College. Once a quarterback at the high school level, Ramsey will get to continue developing on the defensive side of the ball in college as the Eagles like him at end. | |||

Boston College picked up another verbal commitment this week, however this one came on the defensive side of the ball in Kaleb Ramsey, a 6-foot-4, 255-pound defensive end from Laurel Highlands High School. After narrowing the field down to three schools in Boston College, Pittsburgh and Georgia Tech recently, it was only a matter of sitting down and figuring out which fit him best. “I think the opportunities I have to play big-time football in the ACC and also receive an excellent education at Boston College played a big part in why I decided to give them my verbal commitment,” Ramsey said. “I plan on majoring in business or some sort of education and feel I will get the support I need there. It’s just a great combination of football and academics at BC.” “I was also very impressed with the city of Boston, the campus and the coaching staff when I visited and throughout the recruiting process,” Ramsey added. “I have built a good relationship with Coach (Ben) Sirmans and when I met the staff on visits I was definitely impressed with them. The campus is really beautiful there and it is also very small which is what I wanted. I guess overall it just felt like the right fit.” As a junior, Ramsey registered 90 tackles, five sacks, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries. |
