Now he is gearing up for an even bigger senior
campaign.
"Practices have been going good," added Bobby Felder.
"We are looking better. We are going to have a lot better defense than most
people realize. We have 10 starters back on defense, so coach is focused mostly
on offense."
Bobby is actually going to make the move from cornerback
to safety this season.
"They have been working on my footwork and
coverage skills. They are moving me to safety because we have two pretty good
cornerbacks but they are young. They are going to push me over to the middle so
I can protect the deep passes, but I feel pretty good about our young CB's. I
played safety my sophomore year. I feel better at safety because I am free and
can do what ever I want to back there."
McComb's offense will receive
a boost with Brandon's services.
"I am going to rotate in and out
at tailback. Last year I had a few TD's at tailback, but I was mostly at corner.
I am going to start both ways this year."
Felder had a relatively
quiet summer.
"I went to Houston's and USM's camps. I did not get
any offers yet, but I am still hearing from USM, Ole Miss, MSU, LSU, Auburn, and
N' Western LA."
Who is showing Felder the most love?
"USM,
Ole Miss, and MSU."
Which colleges does Bobby call on his own?
"I
call USM and MSU. USM is telling me that they saw some film on me and that I look
pretty good at cornerback. Coach Hopson is telling me that they are going to watch
me some more at the start of the year, and if they like me enough, they are going
to offer me. MSU is just telling me to come to the LSU game and come talk to them.
They said I am real high up on their CB chart. They like me a lot. They think
I will be a big help to their team."
