Scout.com three-star prospect Blake Slaughter, a 5-foot-11, 210-pound linebacker from Elkins High in Missouri City, Texas made it Kansas State tonight when he put on the Wildcat cap during a live news broadcast.
Slaughter, who also held offers from schools like Oklahoma State and Texas Tech, has been described as a player who is soft spoken off of the field, but has the ability to “flip the switch” after the play begins.
Slaughter is currently rated as the 30th best linebacker in the country by Scout.com. As a junior, he collected 124 tackles, five sacks, two fumble recoveries and one interception to earn All-Heartland, Second Team All-District honors.
Stay with Scout.com as Regional Manager Alan Zepeda will be on site for Elkin’s opening night game tomorrow evening and will be bringing back some highlight clips and statements from Slaughter following the game.
