Guntersville QB Talks Season, Recruiting

Chaz Rogers led Guntersville to the 4A state title in 2006 with a perfect record, and while you can’t count the 'Cats out in 2007 they have already suffered their first loss. Rogers discusses the situation.

"I didn't have a great game last week," Chaz Rogers stated from his home in Guntersville, (Ala.). "I threw a pick late in the game when it was still tied."

"We play Saks this week, and we are just looking to get our first win of the season."

Rogers has been receiving interest from several schools, and he tells ScoutSouth.com the latest news.

"I would say I'm hearing from Memphis, Air Force and Georgia Southern more than anyone else right now," he said.

"Memphis wants me to come up there for a visit and take a look around campus before a game. I talked to them yesterday, or the day before."

"Air Force has been in touch with me pretty often. The OL coach called me the other day and talked to me for a pretty good while. We talked about the Academy and how everything worked there. They also want me to come to a game and have a look around while I'm there."

"Georgia Southern is talking about the same things--a visit and watching a game while I'm there."

"The past few days I have started receiving mail from Harding and the University of Nebraska in Omaha. I think both are Division ll schools."

"I'm probably going to go to some games this year, but I haven’t decided which ones yet."
