The Muskogee Roughers are a serious candidate to capture the "Gold Ball" this year, and they will have a chance to knock off the number one team in Oklahoma this weekend when they square off against Union. In this photo feature takes a look at some of their top players.

Receiver Jameel Owens is ranked as one of the Top 100 players in the country.

Four-star prospect Stacey McGee maintains he is being recruited as a tackle and as an end, but at 6-foot-4, 265 pounds, he will most likely end up playing as an end on the next level.

Robert Thomas, a 6-foot-0, 295-pound defensive tackle will be a player to watch in the class of 2009.

Trae Cook is calling the shots as the Roughers quarterback this season.

Linebacker Travon Brooks may have what it takes to play division one ball. He is being looked at by New Mexico and Tulsa.

Junior Vernon Scott is a talent as the team’s backup running back, but will most likely be recruited as a cornerback for the next level.
