Logan Dold Talks Trips to Manhattan
"The season is going good," Logan Dold said. "We are 3-0 and ranked No.2 in Class 3A. We play Cheney on Friday night. They are one of our rivals."
"They have a pretty tough offense. We are not used to it, but I think by the end of the week we'll be ready for it. I have done well. I have passed for around 200 yards. We still mostly run the ball."
Dold has been to Manhattan twice this season and sees progress with the Wildcats.
"I went to their last two home games. They won pretty good about Missouri State the other day. I think they are looking really good. They played Auburn real tight in the their first game, and the last two games were blow outs. They are looking strong," he said.
"Each time I have been up there I have hung out mostly with coach [Greg] Burns. I have also talked to coach [James] Franklin. He is the one who recruited me, and I always talk to him. I stay in touch with him weekly. They just talk about my season and stay in touch. Coach Burns came to my game the other night and said he was impressed."
"I will be up there in two weeks when they play KU. That will be a big game for them. I am looking forward to rooting for my team. It's going to be a real good game because both teams are looking good."
Dold stars as quarterback and defensive back for Garden Plain, but he will stick to one position when he arrives at Kansas State.
"They recruited me as a defensive player," he said. "It's not a whole lot different from our defense in a safeties point of view. It doesn't seem any different."
