"Pete Carroll offered me about two weeks ago...," Carl Moore said. "He called me and told me I had an offer. They wanted me to either be their last visit, or else to visit as soon as possible, so I could learn about them now. USC likes how aggressive I am to the ball and that I don't make drops. They also like their wide receivers big, like me. I like how they develop their players..."

Carl Moore, the 6-foot-4, 220-pound five-star wide receiver from Sierra Junior College in Rocklin, Calif., has decided he will officially visit USC on Oct. 6 for the Stanford game, instead of going to LSU that weekend.

"I changed from LSU because I'm not really interested in them any more," Moore said. "I just didn't have a good feeling about me playing there. I couldn't see myself there. I set the date there the first time because they were in the SEC and I was more interested in playing in the SEC. But after talking more with their coaches, it didn't seem like the right place.

"And Pete Carroll offered me about two weeks ago, right after I talked with you," he said. "He called me and told me I had an offer. They wanted me to either be their last visit, or else to visit as soon as possible, so I could learn about them now. USC likes how aggressive I am to the ball and that I don't make drops. They also like their wide receivers big, like me. I like how they develop their players and send guys to the NFL.

"I would say that Florida is still my favorite," Moore said. "It's not really a big lead. I wouldn't say that. I don't know how you would describe it. I guess you could say it's a slight lead. They have a young QB (Tim Tebow) who will be there for awhile, at least while I would be there. They run the spread offense, which I like, and I also like their staff. I'm going to visit them on Nov. 24.

"USC and California are tied for second behind Florida," he said. "They are losing all their wide receivers and if I go there, I could play immediately. Plus, (Nate) Longshore is coming back. I'm going there (to Berkeley) tomorrow after my game against American River. My game is at 1:00 pm and if I go there right after the game, I can probably get there by the end of the Arizona game. I'm gonna spend the night there and stay with my friend, James Montgomery (running back). I don't need to officially visit them because I am so close.

"I'm trying to set up a visit with Oregon. It might be for their game against Oregon State (Dec. 1)," Moore said. "I've got some friends who go there and they say it's a real family atmosphere that I would like. Plus, they are doing really well this season.

"I've already got a trip set with Arizona for their game against Oregon (Nov. 15) but I think I'll cancel that because they are not doing too good this year.

"I'll choose whenever I'm 100% sure," Moore concluded. "I'm going to sign on Dec. 15 because I'll be graduating early with my AA degree.

"Through three games I have 21 catches for 410 yards and five TDs."
