Lansdale Catholic pounded Owen J Roberts High School on Friday night by the score of 42-7 and wide receiver/safety Mickey Kahrs was very productive on both sides of the ball for the Crusaders. Kahrs has flown a bit under the radar for the past year or so, but programs have started to take notice of him lately.

Mickey Kahrs did catch two passes for 82 yards and a touchdown in his teams’ win this weekend, however the 6-foot-1, 180-pound wide receiver also showed up on the defensive side of the ball, making four tackles, breaking up two passes, recovering a fumble and intercepting a pass. Kahrs is a player that reminds you a bit of Chris Lorditch, another Philadelphia area receiver from last year who was offered by Syracuse, which should explain why the Orange, as well as Temple, Buffalo and Delaware have been in contact with the Lansdale, Pa., native.

On the season Kahrs has not hauled in a ton of receptions with only 11 catches if four games, however five of those have been for touchdown and he has gained 304 yards through the air, averaging a ridiculous 27.6 yards per catch so far this season.
