Owen J Roberts High School was the scene on Friday night to watch the Lansdale Catholic Crusaders further show their dominance in the Pioneer Athletic Conference. The star of the game was certainly junior running back John Howell who blistered the opposing team for five touchdowns in the game.

A broken hand has not stopped junior running back John Howell this season so far and it made no difference on Friday night either as the 5-foot-9, 170-pound athlete carried 17 times for 239 yards and four touchdowns in the game. He also caught two passes for 48 yards, adding another touchdown as a receiver and blocked a punt while making two tackles on the defensive side of the ball. Howell has already visited Connecticut and has plans in the works to visit Buffalo on Saturday and New Hampshire in October. He is also hearing from Maryland and Temple and hopes to hear from Wake Forest, Navy, West Virginia, Pittsburgh and Delaware in the future.

Howell has now carried 49 times this season for exactly 600 yards and nine touchdowns. He has also added a few scores as a receiver.
