Narrows The Field
T.J. Bryant, the nation's No. 2 rated cornerback and a five-star prospect, has narrowed his list down to seven schools – Alabama, Florida, Florida State, LSU, Miami, Oklahoma and USC. Scout.com has also learned that Bryant is in the process of setting up official visits to Florida, Miami and Southern Cal. It is expected that he will also visit LSU and his last visit will go to either Alabama or Oklahoma. Many feel the hometown Seminoles will be the team to beat in the end for Bryant since so many past Lincoln prospects have played at FSU but Bryant and others close to him have always stated that this was not the case and that Bryant would make the best decision for him. Regardless, FSU is in the mix and will be until the end, whether they get an official visit or not. Being from Tallahassee Bryant can always get to campus for an unofficial visit or a series of unofficial visits to FSU. Bryant, from Tallahassee (Fla.) Lincoln High School, is 6-0 and 185 pounds. He has two interceptions and five pass breakups on the season and is three interceptions shy of breaking the school record (Pat Watkins) at 15. Lincoln was ranked No. 3 in the state of Florida before losing to Valdosta (Ga.) High School last weekend. Bryant has not attended any college games this so far this season. He will be in Gainesville this weekend as Florida hosts Auburn and Baton Rouge the following weekend as the Gators take on the Tigers in a huge SEC game. He is also expected to attend the Miami/Florida State on October 20th. Back in early July Bryant narrowed his school choices to ten. Since, he has eliminated Auburn, Georgia and Notre Dame. Note - Bryant and all Lincoln prospects are not allowed to speak to anyone in the media until after the season.
