Illinois Linebacker - Devon Parks

Libertyville, Illinois linebacker Devon Parks was one of the most talked about prospects during the May Evaluation Period. Parks talks about his contacts and favorites.

“Northern Illinois is close to offering me a scholarship,” said linebacker Devon Parks.

“I spoke with (Northern Illinois) coach Novak and he told me he just needs to look at my grades and everything should be fine.

“Wisconsin, Bowling Green, Florida Atlantic and Northern Illinois have been calling on a regular basis.

“Wisconsin, Maryland, Northern Illinois, Minnesota and I’d still have to put UCLA in there. These are my favorites.”

Parks, a 6-foot-3, 245-pounder, from Libertyville, Illinois is a three-year varsity starter and was an all-area selection in 2001.

Parks had a big spring impressing college recruiters at local combines. He ran a 4.7 40-yard dash at the Northwestern camp as well.
