Knudsen Looking for First Offer

Whitefish Bay (WI) wide receiver Lars Knudsen is one of the Badger State's top receiving prospects. He has the size and the hands college coaches covet. Knudsen has drawn interest from many different schools as a result, but has yet to receive his first offer. Might one be coming soon? He updated Scout.com on just that.
At 6'4, 180 lbs,
Lars Knudsen
has the kind of size you want in a college wide receiver. He also is putting together a nice senior season, hauling in 22 passes for 418 yards and four touchdowns through just five games. That, as well as his 3.86 GPA has drawn him interest from many different schools looking for a true student athlete.
"I'm being recruited by Yale, Penn, Columbia, Cornell, Brown,
UNLV
and
Purdue
(as well as a host of 1-AA and D2 schools)," Kundsen said, "but none have offered so far."
Knudsen was able to get on a few college radars this summer when he went up to Ann Arbor for camp where schools other than the Wolverines took notice.
"I went to the University of
Michigan
camp this summer and Coach Jackson was there from Princeton and although he had heard about me previously from Coach Borich who is the recruiting coach for Wisconsin at Princeton, he said he was surprised at my athleticism and my ability. There were also a number of coaches who came up to me during the drills and asked for my name and school and told me they were liking what they saw."
The big wideout is hoping he can start to make some headway through his options soon. He plans to retake his ACT soon after scoring a 27 the first time around and academics will certainly be a big part of his decision.
"Considering my success in the classroom as well as on the field," he said, "I'm definitely looking for a place that can suit me athletically and academically."
Part of that decision process will come by taking his official visits, which he is in the process of planning out.
"I haven't visited any schools yet for games this year," he reported, but added, "Most schools that I have listed above have started talking about official visits sometime in the near future but since I only get 5 I'm going to have to slim my choices down sometime soon so I can take visits to places I'm really interested in."
As for just when he'll know his college destination, Knudsen replied, "I hope to decide on where I'll be going by the beginning or middle of basketball season."
