Not many recruiting fans were expecting to see the Oklahoma coaching staff extending an offer to a kicker/punter after inking Jimmy Stevens in 2007, but the new rule moving the ball back to the 30 yard line makes it essential to have strong legs on the team, and that is exactly what Tress Way brings to the table.

Tress Way, a 6-foot-1, 185-pound kicker/punter from Union High in Tulsa, Okla., made a quick commitment to attend Oklahoma a few days after they extended him an official offer. It looks like he will be coming in to handle the punting and kick-off duties.
