Final 2 For Florida RB
"Everything's going good so far on the season," Jeff Demps said. "We're 2-4 right now so that could be better. We're off this week." Demps, 5-foot-10 and 180 pounds, has had a tough start to his senior season. "I mean, I have about 900 yards and 14 touchdowns," he said. "But I've only played in two full games because I've been cramping up so much. I don't know what it is but if I can play these next few games, I think I can get to 2,000 (yards for the season)." The talented running back recently narrowed his college choices down to Florida and Tennessee. He took his first official visit this past weekend. "I just came from Tennessee," he said. "It was fun. Everything about it was fun. I went to the game, hung out with the coaches, met the players. It was me and three players from Miami Northwestern -- Marcus Forston, Aldarius Johnson, and Sean Spence. They're already committed to Miami but they just wanted to take some more visits. We had a blast, Tennessee's a real nice place." Next up is a visit to Florida. "That'll be sometime in November," he said. "We haven't nailed down the exact date yet. I like everything about Florida, what isn't there to like? They both offered me as a running back but at Florida, I can be more like a slot guy in that offense. I could see myself doing that." So what's going to be the determining factors when it comes time to make a final decision? "The atmosphere of the school," he said. "I'm looking for a family environment where I can feel comfortable around the players and coaches. And of course I'm looking to get on the field right away."
