Scout.com traveled to Newtown Square, Pa., tonight to watch the Marple Newtown Tigers host the Ridley Raiders, however Marple was without their best player in Penn State commitment Pete Massaro for this game. Ridley ended up winning in a lopsided affair, 28-0 and afterwards we took some time to speak with the future Nittany Lion about his commitment.

Pete Massaro is definitely every bit of his listed 6-foot-4 and while he looks a bit lighter then his listed 245 pounds, that is very normal during the season. We spoke with Massaro after his teams’ loss to Ridley High School tonight about his commitment to Penn State and how he feels about the opportunity he has in front of him. If you will be attending the game in Happy Valley tomorrow, be sure to look for him on the sidelines as he will watch the Nitts take on the Badgers for his official visit.

As a junior, Massaro registered 53 tackles, 14 coming for a loss and sacked the opposing quarterback five times on his way to earning first-team All-County and second-team Class AAA Associated-Press All-State honors.
