Did linebacker Arthur Brown hang on to the top spot in the country or did wide receiver Julio Jones, running back Darrell Scott or quarterback Terrelle Pryor unseat him as the nation's top prep prospect? Who's in and who's out of the Scout.com National Top 100?

Scout.com National 100

The mid-season reports cards are out for Scout.com, as we have revised our National Top 100. There has been some change and reshuffling in the top 100 Arthur Brown remains our top overall rated prospect in the country. It was the closest call ever between the top four overall prospects respectively – linebacker Arthur Brown (Wichita, Ks.), wide receiver Julio Jones (Foley, Ala.), running back Darrell Scott (Ventura, Calif.) and quarterback Terrelle Pryor (Jeanette, Pa.). Defensive end Daquan Bowers (Bamberg, S.C.) claims the No. 5 spot, moving up nine spots.

Rounding out the top ten nationally are safety Will Hill (Jersey City, N.J.), cornerback Patrick Johnson (Pompano Beach, Fla.), quarterback E.J. Manuel (Virginia Beach, Va.), offensive tackle Tyron Smith (Moreno Valley, Calif.) and wide receiver A.J. Green (Summerville, S.C.).

Defensive tackles Lawrence Guy (Las Vegas, Nev.), Solomon Koehler (Kaneohe, Hi.) and Omar Hunter (Buford, Ga.), cornerbacks Robert Golden (Fresno, Calif.) and Anthony Dye (Corona, Calif.), linebacker Terrell Manning (Laurinburg, N.C.), running backs Chris Burns (New Wilmington, Pa.) and Chris Polk (Redlands, Calif.), and wide receiver Burton Scott (Prichard, Ala.) are now members of the Scout.com National Top 100. Meanwhile, linebacker Anthony McDonald (Sherman Oaks, Calif.), tight ends Andrew Jones (Smithville, Mo.) and Dion Jordan (Chandler, Az.), offensive lineman Alameda Ta'amu (Seattle, Wa.), running backs Sausan Shakerin (Salt Lake City, Utah) and Cyrus Gray (DeSoto, Texas), and wide receivers Gerrell Robinson (Chandler, Az.), Josh Jarboe (Ellenwood, Ga.) and Jermaine Kearse (Lakewood, Wa.) have all dropped out of the 100.

There are 15 defensive linemen on the top 100 and 19 offensive line prospects. Meanwhile there are 16 linebackers represented, 15 wide receivers, 10 running backs and only six quarterbacks on the Scout.com Top 100.

Running back Sam McGuffie (Cypress, Texas) and offensive linemen Baker Steinkuhler (Lincoln, Ne.) moved up into the top 50 and received a fifth star while linebackers Steve Filer (Chicago, Ill.) and Nigel Carr (Jacksonville, Fla.) moved out of the top fifty and are now ranked as high four star prospects.

Tomorrow, Scout.com will release our National Top 300. On Wednesday we will release the Southeast Top 150 and the East Top 100. On Thursday, Scout.com will release the Southwest Top 100 and the Midwest Top 100. On Friday, we will release the West 150 and the Midlands Top 100.
