Los Alamitos (Calif.) lineman Darren Koontz was in Boise this weekend on an official visit, and was able to catch the Broncos' 69-67 quadruple overtime win over Nevada.
But for Koontz, the best news came prior to the game.
"Boise State made Darren an offer today during his visit," said his dad John.
The offer for Koontz is the second in a week, Air Force having offered him first, but his dad said this one clearly stood out.
"This is his first choice," said his dad.
Boise State is no stranger to Los Alamitos, current Broncos Orlando Skandrick and Jeremy Childs, who had 12 catches for 150 yards in the game on Sunday night, both having played for the Griffins.
Scout.com will have more from Koontz tonight.
