With Arthur Brown sitting atop the Midland rankings you can rest assured that there is not going to be any movement as far as the number one spot is concerned…
The first thing that you do notice when looking at the latest set of Midland Rankings is that Baker Steinkuhler has jumped Jameel Owens in the top five. Steinkuhler is a freak athlete who has a good chance to come in and make an immediate impact in college. He also saw a significant rise in the national rankings where he was ranked in the Top 50 and recognized as a five-star talent.
Missouri’s Will Compton has seen a steady rise throughout the rankings all season long, and after watching a great highlight package featuring him it is easy to see why schools like Nebraska, Missouri, and Michigan all offered him a scholarship.
There was no doubting Chris Harper’s on the field prowess, but there was some concern about his position projection in college. Now that he has come around to the fact that he may eventually even end up on the defensive side of the ball it is easy to rank him in the Top 20 and move him up as the second ranked player in the state of Kansas behind Brown.
