Latavius Murray took two official visits back in September and at this point those two programs are sitting atop his leader board as he draws closer and closer to decision time. Recruiting isn’t quite over yet however and the Nedrow, N.Y., native could be taking a third official visit before finally coming to a decision. | |||

Latavius Murray is averaging over a dozen yards per carry so far this season, gathering over 1400 yards on the ground to go along with his 28 touchdowns. The 6-foot-4, 220-pound athlete has taken two of the five official visits he is allowed, however after speaking with him recently it does not sound like he’ll need all five to come to a final decision where he’ll be playing his college football. “Right now Boston College and Central Florida are on top,” Murray said. “I don’t have any other official visits planned, but I may go up to Connecticut and see what they have to offer as well. For now I am down to those three programs and while I would like to have my decision made as soon as possible I’m not going to rush anything. Whenever the time is right I will know and make my choice.” “My trip to Central Florida went really well and I had a lot of fun there with both the coaches and the players because they were all really cool with me,” Murray stated. “I was there for the Louisiana-Lafayette game and the atmosphere was exciting as the student section was live and loud. The new stadium was really nice, I like the state of Florida a lot and I also like that they are recruiting me as a running back.” “Boston College was another great visit,” Murray explained. “I met with Coach (Jeff) Jagodzinski who was a really cool guy and liked the rest of the staff as well. I thought all of the people I came across were all great and the players were down to earth, so I just enjoyed being around everyone. The game was against Army and the atmosphere was solid considering the level of competition and I really liked Boston a lot.” As a junior at Onondaga High School, Murray rushed for 2,017 yards and 32 touchdowns, earning first team All-CNY, All-League and All-State honors. |
