Last week, 4-star safety and current Nole commitment C.J. Holton took an unofficial visit to Miami…
DB: "That game was crazy"
"I went to the game and loved it," C.J. Holton said. "That game was crazy. If you can believe it, I actually left with two minutes left to go and missed the ending. I thought it was over. Then a friend called me and said Florida State lost. I didn't believe him so I had to call a couple other people." Holton, 6-foot-1 and 190 pounds, said he was one of many recruits at Doak Campbell Stadium on Saturday. "There were more recruits there than I've ever seen," he said. "Most of Florida State's commitments were there. I saw T.J. Bryant, a bunch of people. I enjoyed it because it was my first time being at such a big rivalry game. I got to experience it first hand." Holton talked about the game itself. "It was back and forth," he said. "I was surprised at Florida State's redzone defense. And I was surprised at how much speed Miami had -- especially at receiver and defensive back. It was a typical rivalry game that came down to the end." Holton said he remains committed to Florida State and that he'll take just two official visits. "I'll go to Florida State, I'm not sure when," he said. "I think I'm going to the Virginia game in a couple weeks for my visit to Miami." Holton helped his team to a 10-0 win over Godby last Thursday. "I had a few big hits," he said. "We play East Gadsden this week."
