It has been an interesting day for Kale Pick, a 6-foot-2, 200-pound quarterback from Dodge City High in Kan. Earlier today he made a de-commitment from Arkansas and according to HawgsIllustrated.com analyst Dudley Dawson he then informed the Kansas coaching staff tonight that he would indeed be a Jayhawk.
“(Kale) de-committed from Arkansas, and committed to Kansas,” Pick’s father Mark Pick informed Dawson via text message.

Pick is a talented quarterback prospect who junior broke nearly every passing record at Dodge City High as a junior when he threw for 1,779 yards and 19 touchdowns, while throwing just six interceptions and completing 55 percent of his passes.
Pick has missed virtually all of his season due to a thumb injury. The injury happened in the first half of the first game of the season when his thumb was sandwiched in between two helmets. Pick is a little more than halfway into a rehab program for the thumb that was going to take over 12 weeks to heal.
