Recruiting update with Quentin Scott

Quentin Scott (FS, Iowa Central CC) - The 6' 5", 205 pound defender prepped at DeMoine High and was their team's only All-State selection.

"It was tough playing on a losing team," added Quentin Scott. "I did get All-State for three years. I was our Team's MVP for two years, and I won the state long jump in the Provo 1 event. I am originally from Little Rock (AR), but I went to high school in DeMoine because my mom thought they had the better education."

That education did not help him getting into a college.

"I did not have my grades to go to a D1 program. I was told at the time that my grades were pretty poor so I wanted to go to a winning juco until I qualified."

Winning is something Iowa Central CC did last season.

"We won the Graphic Edge Bowl and finished #7 in the country. I forget what my stats were, but they are not as good as they are this year. I have 59 tackles, 14 for loss, and 6 int's this year."

Have any colleges taken notice?

"Actually, Ole Miss offered me a full scholarship in the summer but I have not heard from them in a while. Kansas and Arkansas are calling me a lot. I really want to go back to my home state of Arkansas. Oregon, Kansas State, Utah, and Wyoming are also heavily recruiting me."

What stands out with the Hawgs?

"I have always liked Coach Nutt since he got there. I grew up watching Arkansas football. I wanted to play for Nolan Richardson, but he did some things to make the alumni mad. I just always liked Arkansas football. I have an older cousin who is a cheerleader there. I would even consider walking on if I did not get an offer, but it looks like I might get one."
