Last season QB Scott Burgett led Peoria (AZ) Centennial to an undefeated season and the 5A2 state title. He is looking to repeat, as the playoffs start this week and Centennial (9-1) has the #1 seed.
Burgett has been good, as expected, this year. He has passed for 1,341 yards, 18 TDs versus 9 INTs and completed 50% of his passes. He has also rushed for 4 more scores. All of this while breaking in five new starters along the offensive line.
The 6-2 210 pounder holds an offer from Air Force and says that Nevada, San Diego State, Boise State, Wyoming, Eastern Washington, Northern Arizona and Hawaii have been in contact.
Here are clips from Burgett this season.
