Delmon Robinson Profile "They called today and told me I made it. The game is in late December," said Delmon. "I am glad that I got picked to play in the Mississippi/Alabama game. I hope we are still playing in the playoffs, so I only have a couple of weeks to practice for that game. I am looking forward to playing in it, but I expect us to be playing for a state championship." Before Vicksburg can get to Jackson and in ear shot of a state title berth, they will have to get by a very tough first round matchup with the 2005 4A State champs. "We get West Point this week," said Delmon. "I feel good. I am ready for this. We watched some film on them. They are a good team, but if we play together we are tough to beat. Every game we lost we should have won. We are only a few plays away from being 10-0. If we had executed we would have won all of our games. Our record ended up at 6-4, but that doesn't really tell you how good a team we have. We have a lot of weapons. We just have to put it together." Just a few hours after getting home from his game on Friday night, Robinson will be headed to Starkville to watch his future team play in an important SEC western division matchup. "I am going to the Mississippi State game with Alabama this weekend," said Delmon. "It's a big game for us, but I think we can handle it. A win this weekend would be real big for our program." The Bulldogs turnaround under Head Coach Sylvester Croom was a big selling point for the talented wide out. "The program is definitely going in the right direction," said Delmon. "Coach Croom is a good guy and a good coach. He has turned the program around tremendously. They have had some big wins this year. In a few years, there is no telling what could happen." Despite Delmon's committed status, another in state school continues to recruit him rather heavily. "I don't have any new offers," said Robinson. "Southern Miss still calls me. They are still pretty consistent. Things are still good between me and Mississippi State. I have always wanted to go there, but I never thought it would be in football. When I was a kid I thought I was going to play basketball in college, but once I picked up a football I knew what I wanted to do. Now I get to play football at State. I am really excited about it."
