Don Brown the 5-foot-11, 233-pound three-star fullback from West Monroe, La., now says he doesn't have any true scholarship offers and that he'll be attending Hinds Junior College in Jackson, Miss., next year.
"I decided to go to Hinds to get my grades up," Brown said. "I'm being recruited by LSU (slight leader), Alabama, Auburn, Louisiana Tech and Southern Mississippi, but none of them offered.
"I still hear from Louisiana Tech like every week," he said. "They are recruiting me the most."
As a youngster, Brown followed Florida, but the Gators are not recruiting him.
Brown says he has around a 2.5 core GPA and is taking the SAT for the first-time on Dec. 8.
West Monroe is still undefeated (9-0) and will be starting the playoffs on Nov. 9 against Ruston. Brown has around 60 carries for over 600 yards and 11 touchdowns.
He says he can bench 375 pounds and squat 600. His vertical jump is 35 inches.
"I'm a good blocker," he said. "I'm big and physical and go hard. I can break the defense down, but I want to improve my overall speed (claims a 4.75 forty). I'd like to get faster so I could hit the holes better and get more touchdowns."
