Jordan Jefferson “It feels real good,” Jefferson said. “Coach (Les) Miles said he wanted to talk to me before the game and when we went in and sat down he said he wanted me and that I had an official scholarship offer. Once he said that I knew what my answer was and I said I wanted to be a Tiger.” Jefferson said that he had a good feeling an offer was coming from when he spoke to Miles earlier in the week and he was told to bring his parents along so they could all talk. “I had a good feeling that an offer was going to come when they asked me to bring my parents,” Jefferson said. “We had already talked about it and decided that if they offered I was accepting it on the spot because this is the one I had been waiting on. Ole Miss had offered and Auburn, Florida and Alabama started getting serious the last couple of weeks but this was the one I wanted.” Jefferson has his Destrehan team 11-0 heading into the second round of the state playoffs and on the year he has passed for 1,994 yards and 18 touchdowns. Another dimension that he adds is his athleticism and speed when thing break down in the pocket and that makes him a good fit for Gary Crowton’s offense. “They like the fact that I have a strong arm and I can also run,” said Jefferson. “I don’t run a lot because of our offense but I’m a 4.6 guy (40) and I don’t mind running at all. I’m looking forward to working with coach Crowton because I think we can do some good things together.” Jefferson is now LSU’s 20th commitment for 2008. Senior Clips
