Perris (Calif.) Citrus Hill is one of the newer schools in the Inland Empire, but the Hawks haven't let youth stop them.
They are 11-0, and the top seed in the CIF-East Valley Playoffs. Leading the Hawks is linebacker Jamie Irving, at 6-1, 220, and Irving picked up his second scholarship offer this week.
"I just received another offer from New Mexico," said Irving.
Nevada had been the first school to offer Irving, and the Lobos, led by longtime defensive guru Rocky Long have now given him two options.
Through 11 games, Irving has 70 tackles, a fumble recovery and a safety.
