Schuykill Haven, Pa., product Matt Stankiewitch was in action tonight in a playoff match against West Scranton High School, a powerhouse with two Division I-A players up front and a talented quarterback to boot. In the end, West Scranton was too much for Stankiewitch and his team, however he’ll soon be playing his football in Happy Valley, something we spoke to him Friday about.

Matt Stankiewitch, a 6-foot-4, 290-pound offensive lineman from Blue Mountain High School will be lining up at center or guard for the Penn State Nittany Lions in the future and talked to us tonight after his teams’ playoff loss about his initial visits to Rutgers, Connecticut and West Virginia, as well as why he pulled the trigger so quickly on his Penn State offer.
