Philadelphia, Pa., product Jamir Livingston picked up his first two written scholarships recently from Army and Fordham and is still hoping to grab some more before decision day comes. His team will be playing for the Philadelphia Catholic League Championship this Saturday and Livingston has been a big part of their success once again this season. | |||

After losing some important offensive linemen and their starting quarterback in the offseason, St. Joseph’s Prep and running back Jamir Livingston knew they had a tough task in front of them, but they came through anyway, helping the 5-foot-6.5, 160-pound running back to 1336 yards and 13 touchdowns on 218 carries. Recently Army and Fordham extended scholarship offers to Livingston and he is considering them both. “With Army I just have to figure out if that type of commitment after college is something that is for me,” Livingston explained. “I have to take my official visit during the second week of January and get a better feel for what is expected and what they have to offer me. Obviously a degree from West Point would open a lot of opportunities for me after school and I would get the chance to help improve their program, two things that are very important to me.” “Fordham is really pushing immediate playing time and are an up and coming program that made the playoffs this year,” Livingston stated. “They will be returning the majority of their team next year and I have enjoyed both visits I have taken there.” Navy, Citadel and Furman are also recruiting Livingston. |
