First Offer Coming for Kearney?
Nolan Kearney
Recruiting Analyst
Posted Nov 29, 2007

Nolan Kearney certainly has not seen things go his way in recruiting this year due to transferring of quarterbacks to programs that he was in serious talks with, coaching changes and inconsistency on the camp trail, but right now things look like they could be on the way up for him after completing a senior season where he showed vast improvement.

Nolan Kearney led his Downingtown West teammates to the third round of the playoffs this season and had a much improved year statistically, completing 145 of 238 passes for 21 touchdowns and three interceptions. The 6-foot-3, 231-pound signal caller also ran for 555 yards and nine touchdowns, showing good athleticism for a player with such a large frame. With that senior film being sent out soon he is hoping to hear from schools late and did have an interested visitor this week.

“Coach (Stanley) Clayton from Toledo came to school recently and came off as a really cool guy,” Kearney said. “He sat down and watched my senior film and told my coach that he wanted to offer me and that they would be sending their quarterbacks coach down to meet me. He actually turned around to my coach after watching my senior film and asked how I didn’t have 15 offers already.”

“Other then that I have been talking to a few other programs,” Kearney explained. “I am driving up to drop off film at Villanova right now, have been talking to William & Mary and now Boston College has been in contact with me a lot recently.”

Kearney completed 99 of 148 passes for 1526 yards and 14 touchdowns as a junior. He also rushed 68 times for 447 yards.
