South Panola had a lot on the line in the North Half Championship game against Olive Branch on Friday.

First, they were carrying a nation's best 73 game winning streak into the contest, and more importantly, they were aiming for their 5th straight Class 5A State Championship.

The Tigers fell behind 10-0 at the end of the first quarter but managed to roar back to a 43-28 victory thanks to a career game by their Army All-American tailback/safety.

Darius Barksdale had 30 rushes for 399 yards and 2 TD's on offense and 12 tackles, 1 knocked out receiver, and 1 interception for a 40 yard TD after he scored the go ahead TD from 75 yards out on the play before while manning the running back position.
