Sales Updates Recruitment

Quinton Sales and his Friendly High School teammates are usually playing in the Maryland playoffs this time of year, however due to having to forfeit six games this season for use of ineligible players he wasn’t able to finish his high school career the way he had hoped. Two new offers did a bit to cheer him up a little, however sitting at home instead of playing obviously isn’t ideal.

Quinton Sales, a 6-foot-2, 278-pound offensive guard from Fort Washington, Md., picked up two more offers from Ohio and Eastern Michigan recently to go with the five he was already holding from Connecticut, Wake Forest, Kent State, Illinois and Buffalo, however according to a conversation we had with him recently he is no where near making a collegiate decision.

“I’m going to Buffalo for an official visit on December 15th and then plan on trying to get out to Eastern Michigan and Ohio who just offered,” Sales explained. “I really have not heard a lot from Illinois because they are in preparations for the Rose Bowl, but I’d like to see them too. Coach Rob Ambrose from Connecticut hasn’t called me in a long time either, so I don’t know why that is.”

Sales has however been hearing from some new programs that are visiting his school.

“North Carolina and North Carolina State have already been by the school and Minnesota is coming in on Friday to meet with me.”

Sales played offensive tackle as a junior and helped lead Friendly High School to an undefeated 14-0 record and 38-17 win over River Hill High School in the Maryland Class AAA State Championship game. He was selected first-team All-County and All-State for his efforts.

Sales holds a 2.93 core GPA and scored an 880 on his SAT.

He has a max bench of 385 pounds and a max squat of 535 pounds.
