Wilmington set the tone for their demise on Saturday on the opening kick-off. Terrelle Pryor took the ball and made his way down the Jeannette sideline before being pushed out of bounds. The hit was late and forced Pryor to hurdle a bench and fly into a three-foot high snow drift. The rest of the day Pryor played with a chip on his shoulder which spelled bad news for the Greyhounds.
Pryor rushed for 158 yards, passed for 142 and returned an interception 100 yards for a touchdown to lead Jeannette to a 41-21 victory against Wilmington in a PIAA Class AA semifinal at Slippery Rock on Saturday. Jeannette (15-0) advances to Hershey, Pa., and the PIAA Class AA championship game for the second consecutive year, facing District Two champion Dunmore at 1 p.m. next Saturday.
Pryor became the first WPIAL player to pass and run for more than 4,000 yards. He has 4,041 rushing and 4,166 passing.
